Life, Career and the Pursuit of Happiness

There are some days/weeks where it feels like I only get one choice between work, a social life and “me time.” One of the hardest parts about being an adult is the attempt to balance all three of these things while giving 100% to each of them. What I’ve learned is that the only way to survive the mess is giving moments 100% of your energy. If you’re home alone, make an amazing dinner and treat yo self to that cup of ice cream. If you’re with friends, let loose and have a couple drinks and laughs and GET OFF YOUR PHONE. If you’re at work, work harder than you’ve ever worked. Make work your bitch.

I am not even close to understanding balance, but I feel like I’m at least getting closer. I’ve just learned to shift and sway with whatever comes my way. Speaking of shifting, this shift dress is my absolute favorite- it’s got just the right amount of box and cuteness. Also covers those undesirable curves when we’ve had a little too much fried chicken or cake amiright?!
