Change is a strange thing. I can always feel it in my bones. I can feel it in the air. Whether it’s jobs, friends, seasons, moving, break ups, marriage, death- it’s all scary yet inevitable. One of the hardest feelings I’ve dealt with is fear. Fear of every type of possible change. What if I can’t handle the change? What if this change destroys me? What if I’m not strong enough? The only way I’ve learned to deal with this fear is facing every single change head on, no matter how much it might hurt or shake me to my core. The whole “face your fear” thing is the real deal, and has led me to some of the best moments of my life. Embrace the change.
Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:
“After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it’s comforting to know that the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you’re very lucky, a plane ride away.” -Carrie Bradshaw, SATC
