One of the best feelings in the world is looking back to where I was a year ago and comparing it to where I am today. It blows my mind how far I’ve come in just a year. I am not only a stronger human (not physically, let’s be real), but I know what I deserve, what I want and I’m not afraid to go after it. Our twenties are for figuring ourselves out, and not settling for less than our dreams. I may not be living the “traditional” lifestyle of having kids, getting married, buying a house yadda-yadda, but I just have this feeling I was meant for a different path. One of my favorites Audrey Kitching posted this the other day: “To believe that we can withstand the forces of change is what leads to our suffering. It is better to follow where the changes may lead us.”
Life is too short for comfort- to not stretch ourselves to the farthest possible limits. Comfort is dangerous to me, but not when it comes to my wardrobe. Suede is my latest obsession, and I think my shoe collection has grown to at least six pairs of suede booties and I’m not stopping any time soon.
