Fly or Die

There comes a time in your life where you will have to make a choice. It’ll be either to stay the way you are, hooked up on the past and comfortable with a reasonable amount of self-doubt. Or it’ll be to jump off a cliff, fly into unknown territory and let go of everything and everyone. The former could bring comfort and stability, but the latter will always bring confidence and infinite positive change in your heart – even if it does take some time to get there.

I’ve faced this road many times. Sometimes I’m stuck for awhile- dwelling on every little thing, wondering why something didn’t pan out like I wanted it to or just “why” in general. I don’t know why I waste my time clinging to my past, but I think it’s just a part of being human. We all want the things we can’t have. We all want to change something that can’t be changed. We all hold onto moments, good or bad, for far too long. The key is to be aware and to trust the one constant: whatever is meant to be will always be, and whoever is meant to stay will stay.

“If you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to.” – Lao Tzu
