Mirrors

Life has a beautiful way of opening up when we least expect it.

I look back a year ago from today: living in Denver and I was just told there was a possibility of my company moving me to New York. I decided at the beginning of the year I was going to move there and do everything that makes me happy along the way.

Since then, I moved to New York, made new friends and learned to live in my dream city, built up my network in the fashion industry and traveled to Israel and Australia. Looking back I’m feeling so grateful for every single experience, both good and bad. I would never expect to be where I am today or have done the things that I have or met the people that I did.

And it’s all because of my mindset. I stopped having expectations – rather worked to make myself better and it got me here.

I read this quote the other day: “Mirrors. How you choose to show up magnetizes what shows up for you.”

I want to continue my path of self-improvement, as hard as it might be some days. I didn’t choose an easy path. I think that I have chosen a life of uncertainty and with uncertainty comes pain and heartbreak more often than not.

I hate to say “bring it on,” but I do believe that this is the life for me and I’m excited to see where it takes me next. (apparently to the bar)…
