There is always something to do in NYC all year round, but come summertime every weekend there are a million events going on and it’s overwhelming to pick and choose which ones to go to. I’ve narrowed down a few of my favorite New York adventures I’ve been on lately.
- Korea Town
One of my favorite spots in the city. Highly recommend going to one of the karaoke bars with a few friends and grabbing food at Woorjill (cheap, amazing grab-n-go). I’ve always had a crazy fun time in this area of the city.
2. Top of the Rock
This is still an unknown spot – go before it gets crazy like the Empire State Building! We didn’t have to wait at all, and it’s $36 for an incredible view.
3. Cha Cha Matcha
Had a long day exploring? Stop at one of their two locations and grab a refreshing matcha desert or iced coffee. It’s a unique flavor and I like to think of it as healthy because it’s green…..
4. Madison Square Park
First off, this park has Shake Shack so that in itself sold me. The Flatiron, an iconic NY building is right there as well which is a great spot for pictures.
5. The Crown
THE most perfect bar if you want to spend $18 on one drink with an incredible view. My advice is get there around 5 so you can see the sun set and have a spot (back patio is usually the least crowded).
I’m a huge advocate of this restaurant. It’s only open during the summer and has an unreal view at sunset. It’s on a boat overlooking the financial district. I had the best oysters of my life here – but be prepared to 1) make reservations and 2) drop money.
7. Whitney Museum of American Art
This museum is strange. However, every exhibit is so unique you won’t find anywhere else like it. The views from every floor are gorgeous, and there’s a cute cafe on the top floor. Great for a hot, rainy day.
8. Random Events: The Skint
I subscribed to this daily e-newsletter called The Skint and there are cheap and free events sent to me every day. From comedy shows to free concerts, there isn’t a single night I’m ever bored in this city.
Aaaaaand that’s a wrap. Thinking about sporting a “I Heart NY” t-shirt soon. Or NY can just sponsor me???
Till next time,
